For 2nd gen Tacoma, i believe 2005-2008 has mechanical lsd for rear diff in TRD Sport model. Not sure about Prerunner models. For 2008+,rear diffs are open diffs, with electronic control TRAC that I believe modulates the brakes on the wheel side that is spinning, allowing more torque to be applied overall without spinning.You CANNOT use an LSD housing for an e-locker third member without modification. You actually have to grind and cut a notch in the housing, and re-drill some mounting holes.
