I think the AFR's 180 or 195 runners would offer another 20-25 above that. They did have a reason for the small stroke, scca rules and a 305 cid limit.They used the 4 inch bore because it allowed better breathing than the 283 bore thus the 3 inch stroke 283 crank was used to squeak in under the cid limit.
