Jul 18, 2023 · To change user codes on a traditional Kwikset smart lock, follow these steps: Unlock and open the door. Remove the battery pack from the interior side of the lock. Press the program button a specific number of times corresponding to the code position you want to change. Enter the new user code using the lock’s keypad. On the interior side of the lock where the program button is located, there is a jumper that will change the direction of the door. The peg comes off and will either cover the ""A"" and ""B"" or the ""B"" and ""C"". The link below on page # 6 illustration #4 will guide you on how to change the direction of the door. Click here.
