To leave turn based mode, hit R2 to bring up that radial wheel, in the bottom left, between the map and a short rest is a prompt called "Turn-Based Mode" selecting this will pull you out of the combat loop with the Environmental Turn having turns. I'm pretty sure you can reload and never enter Turn-Based Mode if you disarm everything first.Just wait for the trap you want to go past to shoot fire, enter turn based mode, dash to the safe spot, end turn based mode and wait for the next trap.
