If you have a scantool, hook it up so you can watch the coolant temp progress. Helped me b/c I would get anxious waiting for the it to come to temp. Once the thermostat opens (180-190F) rev the engine a bit. Hold it at ~2k for 5 min then blip to 3.5k. Shut off the car, let it cool and check the fluid level.
