Blitz black paint
To clarify, I am wanting to remove the Plasti-Dip and paint those items with John Deere Blitz Black paint for a permanent application. The purpose of the Plasti-Dip was simply to see if I would like those items black - which I do so now I want them permanent. I was going to use their hardener REN3001 but that seems a bit expensive and I'm trying to do this build on a budget.

My 62 Impala wagon (below) all the satin black except the hood is Limco 3 a BASF product base coat with no clear. Limco 3 is a good product which goes for $18.50 a quart. The hardener costs more then the paint. After having some damage to the hood it was repainted with a Sikkens base coat and clear with a flattening agent.Yes you can paint over Blitz Black with another coat of primer and/or enamel paint. If your original Blitz Black paint job was successful and had good adhesion to the vehicle, you next color topcoat should be fine. If you want an expensive hardened urethane paint job, go with a gloss finish.
